Indication
Treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults.
Ingredients
- Telmisartan USP 80 mg
Direction
As directed by the physician. Usual dose is 40β80 mg once daily. Store below 30Β°C.
Side effects
- Dizziness
- Headache
- Fatigue
- Upper respiratory tract infections
- Hyperkalaemia in rare cases
Precautions
- Warning: When pregnancy is detected
- telmisartan should be discontinued as soon as possible as it can cause injury and even death to the developing foetus when used in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy.
- Not recommended in severe hepatic or biliary obstruction.
- Monitor renal function and electrolytes.
- Keep out of reach of children.
