Indication

Treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults.

Ingredients

• Telmisartan USP 80 mg

Direction

As directed by the physician. Usual dose is 40–80 mg once daily. Store below 30°C.

Side effects

• Dizziness
• Headache
• Fatigue
• Upper respiratory tract infections
• Hyperkalaemia in rare cases

Precautions

• Warning: When pregnancy is detected
• telmisartan should be discontinued as soon as possible as it can cause injury and even death to the developing foetus when used in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy.
• Not recommended in severe hepatic or biliary obstruction.
• Monitor renal function and electrolytes.
• Keep out of reach of children.
