Indication

- Acute and chronic schizophrenia - Anxiety and associated agitation - Depressive disorders - Adjunct in functional gastrointestinal disorders such as dyspepsia

• Sulpiride 25 mg

Direction

Dosage is individualized by a physician according to the condition. Take tablets with water; doses are usually divided through the day. Use exactly as prescribed.

Side effects

• Drowsiness and sedation
• Extrapyramidal symptoms (tremor

• restlessness)
• Increased prolactin causing breast enlargement or menstrual changes
• Weight gain
• Dry mouth

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with kidney impairment
• epilepsy or Parkinson's disease
• Avoid in pheochromocytoma and prolactin
• dependent tumours
• May impair ability to drive or operate machinery
• Avoid abrupt discontinuation
• monitor for movement disorders
