Indication
- Acute and chronic schizophrenia - Anxiety and associated agitation - Depressive disorders - Adjunct in functional gastrointestinal disorders such as dyspepsia
Ingredients
- Sulpiride 25 mg
Direction
Dosage is individualized by a physician according to the condition. Take tablets with water; doses are usually divided through the day. Use exactly as prescribed.
Side effects
- Drowsiness and sedation
- Extrapyramidal symptoms (tremor
- rigidity
- restlessness)
- Increased prolactin causing breast enlargement or menstrual changes
- Weight gain
- Dry mouth
Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with kidney impairment
- epilepsy or Parkinson's disease
- Avoid in pheochromocytoma and prolactin
- dependent tumours
- May impair ability to drive or operate machinery
- Avoid abrupt discontinuation
- monitor for movement disorders
