Microflox-500 500 mg

Indication

A fluoroquinolone antibiotic used for the treatment of bacterial infections including urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, and gastrointestinal infections caused by susceptible organisms.

Ingredients

• Ciprofloxacin 500 mg

Direction

Take as directed by a physician. Swallow tablets whole with a full glass of water. Complete the full course of treatment.

Side effects

• Nausea
• diarrhoea
• Headache
• dizziness
• Rash or skin reactions
• Tendinitis or tendon rupture (rare)
• QT interval prolongation (rare)

Precautions

• Prescription only medicine.
• Do not use if allergic to ciprofloxacin or other fluoroquinolones.
• Avoid excessive sun exposure during treatment.
• May cause tendon rupture
• discontinue and contact doctor if tendon pain occurs.
• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment
• seizure disorders
• or myasthenia gravis.
