Indication

- Prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma - Relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis - Prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction

Ingredients

• Montelukast 4 mg

Direction

One 4 mg chewable tablet or sachet of granules once daily in the evening, as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• Headache
• Abdominal pain
• Thirst
• Upper respiratory tract infection
• Neuropsychiatric effects (e.g. sleep disturbance
• mood changes)

Precautions

• Not for treatment of acute asthma attacks
• Phenylketonuric patients should note chewable tablets contain aspartame
• Watch for neuropsychiatric changes such as mood or behavior alterations
