Indication
- Prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma - Relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis - Prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction
Ingredients
- Montelukast 4 mg
Direction
One 4 mg chewable tablet or sachet of granules once daily in the evening, as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- Headache
- Abdominal pain
- Thirst
- Upper respiratory tract infection
- Neuropsychiatric effects (e.g. sleep disturbance
- mood changes)
Precautions
- Not for treatment of acute asthma attacks
- Phenylketonuric patients should note chewable tablets contain aspartame
- Watch for neuropsychiatric changes such as mood or behavior alterations
