Indication

Treatment of intestinal worm infestations including hookworm, pinworm (enterobiasis), whipworm (trichuriasis), roundworm (ascariasis), and threadworm, in single or mixed infestations.

Ingredients

• Mebendazole 500 mg

Direction

Adults and children over 2 years: chew or swallow 1 tablet as a single dose. A second course of treatment may be recommended after 2–3 weeks if symptoms persist. For prevention, take one dose every 6 months.

Side effects

• Abdominal pain
• diarrhea (transient)
• Nausea (rare)
• Allergic reactions (rare)

Precautions

• Not recommended for use in pregnant women
• especially during the first trimester.
• Consult a doctor before use in children under 2 years.
• May cause mild gastrointestinal disturbances.
• Treat all family members simultaneously for pinworm to prevent reinfection.
