Indication
Treatment of intestinal worm infestations including hookworm, pinworm (enterobiasis), whipworm (trichuriasis), roundworm (ascariasis), and threadworm, in single or mixed infestations.
Ingredients
- Mebendazole 500 mg
Direction
Adults and children over 2 years: chew or swallow 1 tablet as a single dose. A second course of treatment may be recommended after 2β3 weeks if symptoms persist. For prevention, take one dose every 6 months.
Side effects
- Abdominal pain
- diarrhea (transient)
- Nausea (rare)
- Allergic reactions (rare)
Precautions
- Not recommended for use in pregnant women
- especially during the first trimester.
- Consult a doctor before use in children under 2 years.
- May cause mild gastrointestinal disturbances.
- Treat all family members simultaneously for pinworm to prevent reinfection.
