Indication
Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycaemic control as adjunct to diet and exercise.
Ingredients
- Linagliptin
- Metformin hydrochloride
Direction
Take as directed by physician, usually twice daily with meals. Swallow whole with water.
Side effects
- Nausea
- diarrhea
- abdominal discomfort
- hypoglycaemia (when combined with other antidiabetics)
- nasopharyngitis.
Precautions
- Prescription only. Contraindicated in renal impairment (eGFR <30 mL/min/1.73m²). Monitor renal function. Risk of lactic acidosis with metformin.
