TobraDex Tobramycin 3 mg/mL + Dexamethasone 1 mg/mL

Indication

Treatment of steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions where a corticosteroid is indicated and where superficial bacterial ocular infection or a risk of bacterial ocular infection exists.

Ingredients

• Tobramycin 3 mg/mL
• Dexamethasone 1 mg/mL

Direction

Instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac(s) every 4-6 hours. During the initial 24-48 hours, the dosage may be increased to every 2 hours.

Side effects

• Ocular irritation
• Increased intraocular pressure with prolonged use
• Posterior subcapsular cataract formation with prolonged use
• Delayed wound healing

Precautions

• Not for injection
• Do not touch dropper tip to any surface
• Prolonged use may result in secondary infections
• Monitor intraocular pressure with extended use
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
