Indication
Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control.
Ingredients
- Sitagliptin 50 mg
- Metformin HCl 1000 mg
Direction
Take as directed by physician, usually twice daily with meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects.
Side effects
- Nausea
- Diarrhea
- Hypoglycaemia when used with insulin or sulfonylureas
- Lactic acidosis (rare)
Precautions
- Not for use in type 1 diabetes
- Contraindicated in renal impairment
- Monitor kidney function regularly
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
