Indication
Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control.
Ingredients
- Sitagliptin 100 mg
Direction
Take 100 mg once daily, with or without food. Dosage may be adjusted based on renal function.
Side effects
- Nasopharyngitis
- Upper respiratory tract infection
- Hypoglycaemia when combined with other antidiabetics
- Pancreatitis (rare)
Precautions
- Not for use in type 1 diabetes
- Dose adjustment required in renal impairment
- Report persistent joint pain to physician
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
