Indication

Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control.

Ingredients

• Sitagliptin 100 mg

Direction

Take 100 mg once daily, with or without food. Dosage may be adjusted based on renal function.

Side effects

• Nasopharyngitis
• Upper respiratory tract infection
• Hypoglycaemia when combined with other antidiabetics
• Pancreatitis (rare)

Precautions

• Not for use in type 1 diabetes
• Dose adjustment required in renal impairment
• Report persistent joint pain to physician
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
