Vitamine D3 B.O.N. 200000 IU / ml

Indication

Vitamine D3 B.O.N. is used for treatment and prevention of Vitamin D deficiency, rickets, osteomalacia, and osteoporosis. It is given as a single high-dose injection or oral dose.

Ingredients

• Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) 200000 IU per 1 ml

Direction

Use as directed by a physician. May be given by oral route or intramuscular injection. Usual adult dose: 1 ampoule (200,000 IU) every 3–6 months.

Side effects

• Hypercalcaemia with excessive dosing
• Nausea
• Constipation
• Weakness with overdose

Precautions

• Do not exceed prescribed dose — overdose can cause hypercalcaemia
• Use with caution in patients with kidney disease or hypercalcaemia
• Keep out of reach of children
