Indication

Treatment of chronic hyperuricaemia (elevated uric acid levels) in adults, including patients who already have urate deposits (including a history of or presence of tophus and/or gouty arthritis).

Direction

As directed by the physician. Usual dose is 80 mg once daily.

• Abnormal liver function tests
• Nausea
• Skin rash

Precautions

• Not recommended for patients being treated for cancer
• Monitor liver function periodically
• Store below 30°C
• Protect from sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
