Indication
Vometa Domperidone Drops are used for the symptomatic relief of nausea and vomiting, and as a promotility agent in patients with delayed gastric emptying.
Ingredients
- Domperidone 5 mg per ml
Direction
Administer orally as directed by a physician. Usual dose: 2.5 mg/kg/day divided in 3 doses, before meals. Do not exceed 0.5 mg/kg/dose or 2.4 mg/kg/day.
Side effects
- Dry mouth
- Headache
- Diarrhea
- Galactorrhoea
- QT prolongation (rare)
Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with cardiac disease (risk of QT prolongation)
- Not recommended in preterm infants without specialist advice
- Consult a doctor before use in patients with liver impairment
- Keep out of reach of children
