Vometa 5 mg / ml

Indication

Vometa Domperidone Drops are used for the symptomatic relief of nausea and vomiting, and as a promotility agent in patients with delayed gastric emptying.

Ingredients

• Domperidone 5 mg per ml

Direction

Administer orally as directed by a physician. Usual dose: 2.5 mg/kg/day divided in 3 doses, before meals. Do not exceed 0.5 mg/kg/dose or 2.4 mg/kg/day.

Side effects

• Dry mouth
• Headache
• Diarrhea
• Galactorrhoea
• QT prolongation (rare)

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with cardiac disease (risk of QT prolongation)
• Not recommended in preterm infants without specialist advice
• Consult a doctor before use in patients with liver impairment
• Keep out of reach of children
