Codalgin Forte Paracetamol 500 mg / Codeine phosphate hemihydrate 30 mg

Indication

Short-term relief of moderate to severe pain that is not relieved by paracetamol or other non-opioid analgesics alone, such as post-operative pain, dental pain, headache, muscular pain and dysmenorrhoea.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 500 mg
• Codeine phosphate hemihydrate 30 mg

Direction

Adults: take 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as needed, up to a maximum of 8 tablets in 24 hours. Take with water; may be taken with or without food. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible time. Take only as directed by your physician.

• Respiratory depression at high doses

Precautions

• Prescription only medicine
• Do not use in children under 12 years
• Do not exceed the recommended dose
• Risk of dependence with prolonged use
• Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine
• Caution if driving or operating machinery (may cause drowsiness)
• Use with caution in the elderly and patients with hepatic
• renal or respiratory impairment
• Keep out of reach of children
