Quemox 500 mg

Indication

Single-dose anthelmintic for the treatment of intestinal worm infestations including hookworm, pinworm, whipworm, roundworm and threadworm, in single or mixed infestation. Sugar-free, chocolate-flavoured chewable tablet.

Ingredients

• Mebendazole 500 mg

Direction

The same dosage applies to adults and children above 2 years: chew 1 tablet as a single dose. A second course of treatment is recommended if the patient is not cured after 2 to 3 weeks. For prevention, take one dose every 6 months.

Side effects

• Mild abdominal pain or diarrhoea
• Headache
• dizziness
• Skin rash (rare)
• Hypersensitivity reactions (rare)

Precautions

• Not recommended in children under 2 years
• Not recommended during pregnancy
• especially the first trimester
• Protect from light and moisture
• Store at temperature below 30 degrees Celsius
• Keep medicine out of reach of children
