Albendazole 400 mg

Indication

Single-dose anthelmintic for the treatment of intestinal or duodenal parasitosis (parasitose intestinal ou duodenal), including infestations by Ascaris lumbricoides, hookworm, pinworm, whipworm, and threadworm.

Ingredients

• Albendazole 400 mg

Direction

Oral route. Adults and children above 2 years: chew or swallow 1 tablet (400 mg) as a single dose. For Strongyloides or Taenia infections, repeat for 3 consecutive days. Read the package leaflet for full posology.

Side effects

• Mild abdominal pain or nausea
• Headache
• dizziness
• Skin rash (rare)
• Transient elevation of liver enzymes (rare with single dose)

Precautions

• Respect the prescribed dose
• Do not use during pregnancy
• especially the first trimester
• Not recommended in children under 2 years
• Store at temperature below 30 degrees Celsius
• Keep out of reach of children
