Almex Suspension Albendazole USP 200 mg / 5 ml

Indication

Anthelmintic suspension for the treatment of single or mixed intestinal worm infestations including ascariasis, hookworm, pinworm (enterobiasis), trichuriasis, strongyloidiasis and taeniasis. Particularly suitable for children who cannot swallow tablets.

Ingredients

• Albendazole 200 mg per 5 ml

Direction

Shake the bottle well before use. Children 2 years and older and adults: 10 ml (400 mg albendazole) as a single dose for most intestinal worm infestations. For strongyloidiasis or taeniasis, 10 ml once daily for 3 consecutive days. Use as directed by the physician; read the enclosed leaflet for full dosage information.

Side effects

• Mild abdominal pain or diarrhoea
• Nausea
• vomiting
• Headache
• dizziness
• Skin rash (rare)
• Transient elevation of liver enzymes (rare)

Precautions

• Do not use during pregnancy
• Not recommended in children under 2 years
• Use as directed by the physician
• Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place
• Keep away from light
• Keep out of reach of children
