Indication
- Bacterial sinus infections - Community-acquired pneumonia - Otitis media (ear infections) - Urinary tract infections - Skin and soft tissue infections - Lower respiratory tract infections
Ingredients
- Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium
Direction
Take orally at the start of a meal to minimize gastrointestinal upset and improve absorption. Complete the full course as prescribed even if symptoms improve early.
Side effects
- Diarrhea (most common)
- Nausea and vomiting
- Skin rash or hives
- Vaginal yeast infection
- Abdominal discomfort
Precautions
- History of penicillin or cephalosporin allergy
- History of drug
- induced liver dysfunction
- Monitor patients with renal impairment
- Risk of Clostridioides difficile
- associated diarrhea
