Indication

Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist used for the prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma in adults and adolescents 15 years and older, including the prevention of day- and night-time symptoms, the treatment of aspirin-sensitive asthma, and the prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction. Also indicated for the symptomatic relief of seasonal allergic rhinitis.
