Indication
Tergynan is a combination vaginal tablet used for the local treatment of cervico-vaginitis and vaginitis caused by susceptible organisms, including bacterial, trichomonal, and fungal (Candida) vaginal infections. Each vaginal tablet contains an antibacterial, antifungal, antiprotozoal and corticosteroid combination.
Ingredients
- Ternidazole
- Neomycin sulphate
- Nystatin
- Prednisolone (as sodium metasulfobenzoate)
Direction
One vaginal tablet per day, inserted deep into the vagina, preferably at bedtime. Moisten the tablet with water for 20-30 seconds before insertion. Treatment duration: 10 days. On medical prescription only.
Side effects
- Local irritation
- Burning or itching sensation
- Allergic reactions (rare)
Precautions
- On medical prescription only
- strictly follow the prescribed doses
- Read the leaflet carefully before use
- Do not swallow
- vaginal tablets only
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children
- Avoid use during the first trimester of pregnancy unless prescribed
