Indication

Fluoroquinolone antibiotic indicated for susceptible bacterial infections including respiratory tract, urinary tract, gastrointestinal, and skin/bone infections.

• Ciprofloxacin (as hydrochloride) 500 mg

Side effects

• Nausea
• diarrhoea
• Headache
• dizziness
• Tendinitis or tendon rupture (rare but serious)
• Photosensitivity

Precautions

• Prescription only medicine
• Avoid in pregnancy/breastfeeding and growing children
• Caution with antacids
• NSAIDs
• Store in a dry place below 30°C
• Keep out from the reach of children
