Direction

Insert a strip into the On Call Extra meter, apply a small drop of capillary blood (about 1 µL) from a fingerstick to the strip's sample area, and read the result after the meter completes its analysis. Use each strip once and follow the package insert and meter coding instructions.

Side effects

• No direct side effects from the strip itself
• Pain or bruising at the fingerstick sampling site
• Inaccurate readings if strips are expired
• mishandled or used with the wrong code may affect treatment decisions

Precautions

• For in vitro diagnostic use only
• not for injection or ingestion
• Use only with the matching On Call Extra meter and correct code
• Close the vial immediately after removing a strip and do not use expired strips
