Direction

Insert a strip into the On Call Plus meter, apply a small drop of capillary blood (about 1 µL) from a fingerstick, palm or forearm to the strip, and read the result after about 10 seconds. Use each strip once and follow the package insert.

Side effects

• No direct side effects from the strip itself
• Pain or bruising at the blood sampling site
• Inaccurate readings if strips are expired
• mishandled or used with the wrong code may affect treatment decisions

Precautions

• For in vitro diagnostic use only
• not for injection or ingestion
• Use only with the matching On Call Plus meter and correct code
• Close the vial immediately after removing a strip and do not use expired strips
