Indication

- Covering and protecting wounds - Absorbing wound exudate and blood - Cleaning the skin around a wound - Use as a primary dressing in first aid

Ingredients

• Cotton gauze (sterile)

Direction

Open the sterile pack with clean hands, apply the gauze directly over the cleaned wound, and secure with tape or a bandage. Use a fresh piece for each dressing change.

Side effects

• Gauze fibres may adhere to a drying wound and cause discomfort on removal
• Skin irritation in sensitive individuals

Precautions

• Single use only
• do not re
• sterilise or reuse
• Do not use if the sterile pack is torn or opened
• Change the dressing regularly to reduce infection risk
