Avamys 27.5 micrograms

Indication

- Relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial) - Nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing and itchy nose - Allergic eye symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis

Ingredients

• Fluticasone furoate 27.5 micrograms/spray

Direction

Adults and children 12 years and over: usually 2 sprays in each nostril once daily, then reduced to 1 spray in each nostril once daily when controlled. Use intranasally only and shake before use.

Side effects

• Epistaxis (nosebleed)
• Nasal ulceration
• Headache
• Nasal dryness or irritation

Precautions

• Prolonged high
• dose use may cause systemic corticosteroid effects
• including growth retardation in children
• Use with caution in patients with nasal infection
• recent nasal surgery or injury
• Caution with concomitant potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. ritonavir
• ketoconazole)
• Seek advice if visual disturbances occur
