Indication
- Inflammatory skin conditions complicated by fungal infection - Infected eczema and dermatitis responsive to corticosteroids - Fungal skin infections with associated inflammation
Ingredients
- Econazole nitrate 10 mg/g + triamcinolone acetonide 1 mg/g
Direction
Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2-3 times daily, or as directed by a doctor; typically used for up to 2-4 weeks.
Side effects
- Local burning
- stinging or itching
- Skin redness or irritation
- Skin thinning with prolonged corticosteroid use
- Contact dermatitis
Precautions
- For external use only
- avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes
- Avoid prolonged use or application to large or broken skin areas due to the corticosteroid
- Not recommended under occlusive dressings unless advised
- Use with caution during pregnancy and in young children
