Econazine 10 mg/g

Indication

- Inflammatory skin conditions complicated by fungal infection - Infected eczema and dermatitis responsive to corticosteroids - Fungal skin infections with associated inflammation

Ingredients

• Econazole nitrate 10 mg/g + triamcinolone acetonide 1 mg/g

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2-3 times daily, or as directed by a doctor; typically used for up to 2-4 weeks.

Side effects

• Local burning
• stinging or itching
• Skin redness or irritation
• Skin thinning with prolonged corticosteroid use
• Contact dermatitis

Precautions

• For external use only
• avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes
• Avoid prolonged use or application to large or broken skin areas due to the corticosteroid
• Not recommended under occlusive dressings unless advised
• Use with caution during pregnancy and in young children
