Indication
- Prophylaxis and treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis (including hay fever) - Treatment of perennial allergic rhinitis - Relief of nasal congestion, sneezing, and itching
Ingredients
- Fluticasone propionate 50 micrograms/spray (0.05% w/w)
Direction
Adults: two sprays into each nostril once daily, preferably in the morning; reduce to one spray per nostril for maintenance once symptoms are controlled.
Side effects
- Nosebleeds (epistaxis)
- Nasal dryness or irritation
- Headache
- Unpleasant taste or smell
- Throat irritation
Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with nasal infections
- recent nasal surgery or trauma
- Prolonged use may cause nasal septal effects
- report persistent nosebleeds
- Monitor children for growth during long
- term use
- Seek advice if visual disturbances or signs of glaucoma occur
