Diaryl 200 mg

Indication

- Treatment of acute bacterial diarrhoea - Colitis of bacterial origin - Symptomatic treatment of acute infectious gastroenteritis

Ingredients

• Nifuroxazide 200 mg

Direction

Adults: 200 mg taken orally every 6 hours (800 mg daily); take with adequate oral rehydration and continue as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• Nausea
• Abdominal pain
• Skin rash or allergic reactions (uncommon)

Precautions

• Maintain oral or intravenous rehydration during diarrhoea
• Not a substitute for rehydration in severe or prolonged diarrhoea
• Avoid alcohol during treatment
• Seek medical advice if diarrhoea persists beyond 3 days or with high fever or blood in stool
