Deflux 10 mg

Indication

- Relief of nausea and vomiting - Dyspeptic symptom complex (fullness, bloating, epigastric discomfort) - Belching, flatulence, and heartburn - Nausea and vomiting induced by dopamine agonists in Parkinson's disease

Ingredients

• Domperidone 10 mg (as maleate)

Direction

Adults: 10 mg taken orally 15-30 minutes before meals, up to three times daily; use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.

Side effects

• Dry mouth
• Headache
• Abdominal cramps
• Raised prolactin (galactorrhoea
• breast tenderness)
• QT prolongation / cardiac arrhythmia (rare)

Precautions

• Contraindicated with conditions predisposing to QT prolongation or significant electrolyte disturbances
• Use with caution in cardiac disease and hepatic impairment
• Avoid concomitant use with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors
• Not recommended in moderate to severe hepatic impairment
