Amox P.P.M 250mg

Indication

- Respiratory tract infections (e.g. bronchitis, pneumonia) - Ear, nose, and throat infections - Urinary and genital tract infections - Skin and soft tissue infections - Other infections caused by susceptible bacteria

Ingredients

• Amoxicillin (as trihydrate) 250 mg

Direction

Adults: usually 250-500 mg every 8 hours, as prescribed. Complete the full course even if symptoms improve. May be taken with or without food.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhea
• Skin rash or itching
• Allergic reactions (rarely severe / anaphylaxis)
• Oral or vaginal thrush (candidiasis)

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to penicillins or cephalosporins
• Inform your doctor of any history of allergy
• asthma
• or kidney disease
• Complete the full prescribed course to prevent resistance
• May reduce effectiveness of oral contraceptives
