Clofenac SR 100 mg

Indication

- Relief of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis - Ankylosing spondylitis - Acute musculoskeletal disorders such as sprains and strains - Low back pain - Dysmenorrhoea

Ingredients

• Diclofenac sodium 100 mg (sustained release)

Direction

Adults: one 100 mg sustained-release tablet once daily, swallowed whole with water, preferably with food. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.

Side effects

• Indigestion
• nausea
• abdominal pain
• diarrhoea
• Gastrointestinal ulceration or bleeding
• Headache and dizziness
• Fluid retention and raised blood pressure
• Increased risk of cardiovascular events with prolonged use

Precautions

• Avoid in active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding
• Use with caution in cardiovascular disease
• hypertension
• and renal or hepatic impairment
• Contraindicated in the last trimester of pregnancy
• Avoid in patients with aspirin/NSAID
• induced asthma or hypersensitivity
