Indication
- Treatment of dandruff - Treatment of seborrhoeic dermatitis of the scalp - Control of itching and flaking of the scalp - Tinea versicolor (pityriasis versicolor)
Ingredients
- Selenium sulfide 1% / 250 mL (medicated shampoo)
Direction
Massage about 5-10 mL into wet scalp, lather and leave for 2-3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Repeat once. Use twice weekly for 2-4 weeks, then less often.
Side effects
- Scalp irritation
- itching or burning
- Dryness or oiliness of the scalp and hair
- Hair discoloration
- Increased hair loss in some cases
- Rarely
- allergic skin reactions
Precautions
- For external use on the scalp only
- avoid contact with eyes and broken skin
- Rinse hair and scalp thoroughly after use
- may discolour blond
- grey or dyed/treated hair
- Remove jewellery before use as it may damage metals
- Discontinue if irritation occurs
