Indication

- Respiratory tract infections - Acne vulgaris and rosacea - Malaria prophylaxis - Lyme disease - Chlamydia and other STIs - Anthrax (post-exposure) - Periodontitis

Ingredients

• Doxycycline

Direction

Take orally with a full glass of water. Remain upright for at least 30 to 60 minutes after administration to prevent esophageal irritation.

Side effects

• Nausea and vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Photosensitivity (easy sunburning)
• Esophageal irritation or ulceration
• Vaginal yeast infection
• Loss of appetite

Precautions

• May cause permanent tooth discoloration in children
• Increases risk of severe sunburn (photosensitivity)
• Avoid use during pregnancy and breastfeeding
• Avoid taking with dairy
• antacids
• or iron
• May reduce effectiveness of oral contraceptives
