Indication
- Anaerobic bacterial infections - Amoebiasis and Giardiasis - Trichomoniasis infections - Bacterial vaginosis - Dental and oral infections - Surgical infection prophylaxis
Ingredients
- Metronidazole
Direction
Take orally with or after food. The tablets should be swallowed whole with water.
Side effects
- Metallic taste in mouth
- Nausea and vomiting
- Darkened or reddish
- brown urine
- Loss of appetite
- Headache and dizziness
Precautions
- Avoid alcohol during treatment
- Risk of disulfiram
- like reaction
- Use caution in liver disease
- Monitor for peripheral neuropathy
- Avoid during first trimester pregnancy
