Indication
- Dehydration due to diarrhea - Vomiting-induced fluid loss - Electrolyte imbalance - Heat exhaustion - Fluid replacement during illness
Ingredients
- Sodium Chloride
- Potassium Chloride
- Sodium Citrate
- and Glucose (Dextrose)
Direction
Dissolve the contents of one sachet in the specified volume of cooled, boiled water (usually 200ml or 1 liter). Sip slowly and frequently as needed to maintain hydration.
Side effects
- Nausea
- Vomiting if consumed too quickly
- Hypernatremia if mixed with too little water
- Mild stomach irritation
Precautions
- Use exact volume of water specified
- Consult doctor if vomiting persists
- Caution in patients with kidney disease
- Do not use in bowel obstruction
- Discard solution after 24 hours
