Indication
- Major depressive disorder - Generalized anxiety disorder - Social anxiety disorder - Panic disorder
Ingredients
- Venlafaxine (extended
- release) 75 mg
Direction
Take one extended-release capsule by mouth once daily with food, swallowed whole. Do not crush or chew; take at the same time each day.
Side effects
- Nausea
- dry mouth
- constipation
- Dizziness
- headache
- drowsiness
- Insomnia
- Increased sweating
- Elevated blood pressure
Precautions
- May increase suicidal thoughts
- especially in young adults early in treatment
- Can raise blood pressure
- monitor regularly
- Do not combine with MAO inhibitors
- risk of serotonin syndrome
- Do not stop abruptly
- taper to avoid discontinuation symptoms
