Indication
- Management of obesity (BMI 30 or above) - Management of overweight (BMI 28 or above) with associated risk factors - Used together with a reduced-calorie, lower-fat diet
Ingredients
- Orlistat 120 mg
Direction
Take one 120 mg capsule three times daily with each main meal containing fat; omit the dose if a meal is missed or contains no fat.
Side effects
- Oily or fatty stools
- Fecal urgency or incontinence
- Increased flatulence with discharge
- Abdominal pain and oily spotting
- Headache
Precautions
- Not for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding
- May reduce absorption of fat

- take a multivitamin at bedtime
- Use with caution with cyclosporine
- levothyroxine
- anticoagulants and antiepileptics
- Contraindicated in chronic malabsorption syndrome and cholestasis
