Vicks DayQuil & NyQuil Severe Cold & Flu 325 mg

Indication

- Temporary relief of common cold and flu symptoms - Fever, headache, sore throat and minor aches - Cough and chest congestion - Nasal and sinus congestion - Sneezing and runny nose (NyQuil, nighttime)

Ingredients

• DayQuil: Acetaminophen 325 mg
• Dextromethorphan HBr 10 mg
• Guaifenesin 200 mg
• Phenylephrine HCl 5 mg per capsule
• NyQuil: Acetaminophen 325 mg
• Dextromethorphan HBr 10 mg
• Doxylamine succinate 6.25 mg
• Phenylephrine HCl 5 mg per capsule

Direction

Adults and children 12 years and over: take DayQuil capsules during the day and NyQuil capsules at night, as directed on the package; do not exceed the maximum daily dose of acetaminophen.

Side effects

• Drowsiness
• especially with the NyQuil (nighttime) component
• Nervousness
• dizziness or sleeplessness
• Nausea or stomach upset
• Increased blood pressure or rapid heartbeat

Precautions

• Contains acetaminophen
• avoid other acetaminophen products and limit alcohol to prevent liver damage
• Avoid in uncontrolled high blood pressure
• heart disease
• or while taking MAOIs
• NyQuil may cause drowsiness
• do not drive after taking it
• Consult a doctor if pregnant
• breastfeeding
• or symptoms persist more than 7 days
