Indication

- Major depressive disorder - Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) - Panic disorder and social anxiety disorder - Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) - Premenstrual dysphoric disorder

Ingredients

• Sertraline 50 mg

Direction

Take once daily, with or without food, as prescribed; treatment usually starts at a low dose and is adjusted by the doctor. Do not stop abruptly.

Side effects

• Nausea
• diarrhoea and dry mouth
• Insomnia or drowsiness
• Dizziness and headache
• Sexual dysfunction
• Sweating and tremor

Precautions

• May increase suicidal thoughts
• especially in young adults early in treatment
• Risk of serotonin syndrome
• especially with other serotonergic drugs or MAOIs
• May increase bleeding risk
• caution with NSAIDs or anticoagulants
• Use caution in pregnancy
• breastfeeding
• liver impairment and bipolar disorder
