Indication
- Temporary relief of common cold and flu symptoms - Fever and body aches - Cough - Nasal and sinus congestion - Runny nose and sneezing (NyQuil, nighttime)
Ingredients
- Acetaminophen 325 mg (with dextromethorphan
- phenylephrine
- doxylamine)
Direction
Take DayQuil during the day and NyQuil at bedtime as directed on the label, with adults taking 2 LiquiCaps per dose, no more than every 4 hours. Do not exceed 4 doses (8 caps) in 24 hours.
Side effects
- Drowsiness (NyQuil)
- Nervousness or sleeplessness (DayQuil)
- Dizziness
- Nausea or upset stomach
- Dry mouth
Precautions
- Contains acetaminophen
- do not use with other acetaminophen products or exceed the maximum dose (risk of liver damage)
- Avoid alcohol
- Do not use with MAO inhibitors or for 2 weeks after stopping them
- NyQuil may cause drowsiness
- do not drive after taking it
