Zitromax 500 mg

Indication

- Respiratory tract infections (e.g. pneumonia, bronchitis) - Ear, nose and throat infections - Skin and soft tissue infections - Certain sexually transmitted infections

Ingredients

• Azithromycin 500 mg

Direction

Usually 500 mg once daily for 3 days, or as prescribed by the physician. Take at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after food.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting or diarrhoea
• Abdominal pain
• Headache
• Dizziness
• Rarely
• allergic reactions or QT prolongation

Precautions

• Inform doctor of liver
• kidney
• or heart rhythm (QT prolongation) problems
• Use with caution alongside other QT
• prolonging drugs
• Tell doctor about any allergy to macrolide antibiotics
• Complete the full prescribed course to avoid resistance
