Indication

- Major depressive disorder (depression) in adults

Ingredients

• Mirtazapine 15 mg

Direction

Usually taken as a single dose in the evening before sleep, starting at 15 mg daily and adjusted by the physician (effective range typically 15–45 mg daily). Swallow with water.

Side effects

• Drowsiness and sedation
• Increased appetite and weight gain
• Dry mouth
• Dizziness
• Constipation

Precautions

• May cause drowsiness
• avoid driving until you know how it affects you
• Report any signs of infection (fever
• sore throat) as it can rarely affect blood cells
• Watch for worsening mood or suicidal thoughts
• especially early in treatment
• Avoid alcohol and do not stop abruptly
