Indication

- Treatment of neuropathic pain (e.g. diabetic neuropathy) - Treatment of postherpetic neuralgia - Adjunctive therapy for partial seizures (epilepsy)

Ingredients

• Gabapentin 100 mg

Direction

Take orally with the dose gradually titrated by a physician; may be taken with or without food, and should not be stopped abruptly.

Side effects

• Drowsiness and somnolence
• Dizziness
• Ataxia (unsteady movements)
• Fatigue
• Peripheral edema (swelling)

Precautions

• Do not stop suddenly
• taper to avoid withdrawal or rebound seizures
• Dose adjustment required in renal impairment
• May cause drowsiness and dizziness
• caution when driving
• Watch for mood changes or suicidal thoughts
