Indication

- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Gastric and duodenal ulcers - Zollinger-Ellison syndrome - H. pylori eradication (combination therapy) - NSAID-induced ulcer prevention

Ingredients

• Esomeprazole

Direction

Take orally once daily, typically 30 to 60 minutes before a meal. Swallow the capsule or tablet whole with a glass of water.

Side effects

• Abdominal pain
• Diarrhea
• Nausea
• Flatulence
• Dry mouth

Precautions

• May mask symptoms of gastric malignancy
• Long
• term use risk of bone fractures
• Risk of hypomagnesemia with prolonged therapy
• May cause Clostridium difficile
• associated diarrhea
• Chronic use may lead to Vitamin B12 deficiency
