Indication
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Gastric and duodenal ulcers - Zollinger-Ellison syndrome - H. pylori eradication (combination therapy) - NSAID-induced ulcer prevention
Ingredients
- Esomeprazole
Direction
Take orally once daily, typically 30 to 60 minutes before a meal. Swallow the capsule or tablet whole with a glass of water.
Side effects
- Headache
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Nausea
- Flatulence
- Dry mouth
Precautions
- May mask symptoms of gastric malignancy
- Long
- term use risk of bone fractures
- Risk of hypomagnesemia with prolonged therapy
- May cause Clostridium difficile
- associated diarrhea
- Chronic use may lead to Vitamin B12 deficiency
