Indication
- Replacement therapy in adrenal insufficiency - Treatment of inflammatory and allergic conditions - Management of certain endocrine disorders
Ingredients
- Hydrocortisone 10 mg
Direction
Take by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually with food. Do not stop treatment abruptly.
Side effects
- Fluid retention and weight gain
- Increased blood sugar
- Mood changes and insomnia
- Increased susceptibility to infection
Precautions
- Do not stop suddenly
- the dose must be tapered gradually
- May increase the risk of infection and mask its signs
- Use with caution in diabetes
- hypertension and peptic ulcer
