Indication

- Short-term treatment of anxiety - Anxiety associated with insomnia - Premedication before surgery or anxiety-provoking procedures

Ingredients

• Lorazepam 2.5 mg

Direction

Take by mouth as prescribed, usually a divided dose during the day; use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time. Do not stop abruptly.

Side effects

• Drowsiness

• Dizziness and unsteadiness
• Memory impairment (amnesia)
• Confusion
• especially in the elderly
• Dependence with long
• term use

Precautions

• Risk of dependence and withdrawal
• avoid prolonged use
• Causes drowsiness — avoid driving and operating machinery
• Avoid alcohol and opioids (risk of severe respiratory depression)
• Use with caution in the elderly
• respiratory or liver impairment
