Indication
- Severe persistent pain - Cancer-related pain - Pain resistant to other analgesics
Ingredients
- Morphine sulfate 10 mg (extended
- release)
Direction
Swallow the capsule whole, twice daily about every 12 hours, with doses set by a physician. Do not crush or chew.
Side effects
- Constipation
- Drowsiness
- Nausea and vomiting
- Dry mouth
- Respiratory depression
Precautions
- Risk of respiratory depression
- especially at high doses
- Risk of tolerance and physical dependence
- Avoid alcohol and other CNS depressants
- Use with caution in hepatic or renal impairment
