Indication

- Treatment of major depressive disorder (depression) in adults

Ingredients

• Mirtazapine 15 mg

Direction

Take by mouth, usually as a single dose at bedtime, swallowed whole with water. Follow the dose prescribed by your doctor; do not stop suddenly.

Side effects

• Drowsiness and sedation
• Increased appetite and weight gain
• Dry mouth
• Dizziness and headache
• Constipation

Precautions

• Antidepressants may increase risk of suicidal thoughts in young adults
• monitor closely
• Report any fever
• sore throat or signs of infection
• as mirtazapine can rarely affect blood cells
• Avoid alcohol
• tell your doctor about all other medicines
• especially MAO inhibitors
• Use with caution in liver or kidney disease
• epilepsy
• heart disease
• glaucoma and during pregnancy or breastfeeding
