Indication
- Treatment of major depressive disorder (depression) in adults
Ingredients
- Mirtazapine 15 mg
Direction
Take by mouth, usually as a single dose at bedtime, swallowed whole with water. Follow the dose prescribed by your doctor; do not stop suddenly.
Side effects
- Drowsiness and sedation
- Increased appetite and weight gain
- Dry mouth
- Dizziness and headache
- Constipation
Precautions
- Antidepressants may increase risk of suicidal thoughts in young adults
- monitor closely
- Report any fever
- sore throat or signs of infection
- as mirtazapine can rarely affect blood cells
- Avoid alcohol
- tell your doctor about all other medicines
- especially MAO inhibitors
- Use with caution in liver or kidney disease
- epilepsy
- heart disease
- glaucoma and during pregnancy or breastfeeding
